The San Jose Giants have been affiliates with the San Francisco Giants for about 20 years. We always called it the farm team of the Giants. The ticket prices are about the same as the San Francisco Giants as attendance has increased over the years.
20 years ago, the tickets were much less expensive and often even free. The advantage to this stadium is the easy parking, the up-close seating, and avoiding the long drive to San Francisco. The close-up general admission seating gives you a chance to see quality baseball players in the equivalent of box seats in a larger stadium.
Getting a hot dog, chocolate malt, or a beer is also much easier than at the San Francisco Giants stadium. Some of the players of the San Jose Giants who have advanced to San Francisco are Matt Cain, Russ Ortiz, Shawn Estes, Pablo Sandoval, Tim Lincecum, and Buster Posey. They also have fun contests between innings and special fireworks nights throughout the season.
