San Jose Earthquakes

The San Jose Earthquakes have come a long way since they played their games at nearby Spartan Stadium and Buck Shaw Stadium. Over the years they have slowly expanded their fan base, at no fault to the communities excellent understanding of the game. As children, it seemed as if everyone was required to play soccer at some point.

The completion of their new stadium produced a big surge in game attendance. PayPal Stadium is now a significant attraction, complete with a large outdoor bar area. The San Jose Earthquakes have won two MLS Cup titles, one in 2001 and one in 2003. “Crazy George” has been a team cheerleader for over 45 years.
