San Francisco Giants Park Tour of Oracle ballpark are temporarily on hold due to the Covid Virus. Be sure to use the MLB site for best accuracy on tours starting up again. I took this tour with my son when he was in elementary school and an avid baseball fan. I was surprised at how interesting and enthralled we were to be taken behind the scenes.
To go down on the field and be able to walk through the dugout and the visiting team’s locker room was a thrill for both of us. The San Francisco Giants Park Tour does not take you into the Giants dressing room but does visit the visiting team lockers. The experience was much grander than I had expected.
The San Francisco Giants began as the New York Gothams (1883), then the New York Giants (1885), then they moved to San Francisco when I was 8 years old (1958). In my days as a young child the San Francisco Giants players were Willy Mays, Orlando Cepeda, Willie McCovey, Jose Pegan, Mike McCormick, Stu Miller, Gaylord Perry, and Juan Marichal.
If you are a Giants fan, this tour is guaranteed to bring back some great memories and boost your San Francisco Giants spirit. Their farm team, the San Jose Giants, is 50 miles to the south.
