Neely Wine & Spring Ridge Vineyard is in the serene and picturesque town of Portola Valley. They have six vineyard blocks. Five facing east and the sole Pinot Noir block facing north. To the west of the vineyards are giant redwoods and the Douglas fir forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Adding to a perfect climate, and just west of the vineyard, are the cool fog banks of San Gregorio, Tunitas Creek, and the Pacifica Ocean. Neely Wine & Spring Ridge Vineyard is a unique winery to visit as all of their wines are grown, bottled, aged, and fermented on the property, making it a true estate winery.
Neely Wine & Spring Ridge Vineyard is easily accessible and is only a few minutes from Palo Alto, the Windy Hill parking lot, and Stanford University
Except under extreme drought, the vines are “dry farmed” and rarely need irrigation. Neely vines are expressly selected according to the Terroir philosophy of wine making. Therefore relying on compatibility of the terrain, climate, soil, and elevation to bring out their exceptional and exclusive flavors.
Neely Winery & Spring Ridge Vineyard featured wines are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with grafted Pinot Noir stock. This including the famous and exotic clones of Dijon 777 and Dijon 115. Their Pinot Noir wines are noted for their striking red fruit, and their elegant, rich aroma and structure. They also have one field of Gruner Veltliner, a dry crisp white wine grown mostly in Austria.
An exclusive combination of soil, sunlight, temperature, elevation, and experienced winemakers make Neely Wines a delicacy to treasure. Their unique wine labels show exactly which block the grapes originated from.
The vineyards are family owned and proudly opened to the public in the Spring of 2023. Their tasting room options are available to both their wine club members and to the general public by Reservation only. Their aspiration is to make your wine tasting experience unique, flavorful, and unforgettable. Please no walk-ins.
