MOMA Museum San Francisco is a full-scale modern art museum and can take an entire day to really delve into all the exhibits. You need to move fast if you want to get through everything in less time. It is seven stories tall and has both permanent and temporary exhibits.
Return visits to MOMA Museum San Francisco offers refreshing rotating shows. The curators of SFMOMA have done a remarkable job in compiling such a diverse and intriguing collection. I personally start getting overwhelmed after two hours.
The nice thing about the exhibits is that they provide lots of open space around them which makes the galleries feel more open, more calming, and less crowded. One of my favorite attractions at the museum is the living wall.
Tickets are between $20 and $25 and should be purchased in advance to assure your spot. MOMA, was always a great museum to bring my kids to, as under 18 is free. I have also taken advantage of the free “First Thursday” admission from 4pm-8pm. Be sure to also visit the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor.
