Authors Comments:
I challenge any village to include more art galleries than Carmel by the Sea. With over 100 art galleries and every media imaginable, visiting their selection of art can take several days. All within a few square blocks and all accessible by foot, as in… no cars needed.
At Carmel Art Galleries you will find paintings in oil, watercolor, and acrylic, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and textiles. The galleries will cover Impressionism, Pop Art, Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, Modern, Surrealism, Contemporary, Realism, and Fantasy.
Visit galleries of the legend Eyvind Earle, Thomas Kinkade, Edward Weston, Robert Knight, and many other famous artists of the region and the world. This is one of my favorite attractions in Carmel and every visit will be a new and breathtaking experience in art.
For art students, fellow artists, collectors, or historians, Carmel Art Galleries is the best of the best. Scattered among these galleries will be exquisite restaurants and memorable boutique hotels.
