The Botanical Garden is one of three exhibits displaying flora. If you are able to visit all three of these attractions, you will have seen more plants from more countries than most people see in a lifetime. All three are clustered within walking distance, The Conservatory of Flowers being the farthest away.
My favorites in the Botanical Garden are the prehistoric plants, the California native plant section, and the African plant section. Give yourself several hours for just the Botanical Gardens.
The Conservatory of flowers is packed with exotic insect eating plants, Giant Amazon lilies, Orchids, and rare colorful flowers. The Conservatory is basically a greenhouse and is beautiful year-round.
The Japanese Tea Garden is beautifully maintained with many species of maples, bamboo, and azaleas. It was an ensured visit every time my parents had guests in town. As a child I only looked forward to the fortune cookies and the round overhead bridge.
